Aysen I Milliogullari is a professional opera singer and educator. She served as a permanent
opera singer and performed in many opera productions and concerts at the State Opera House
in Turkey for many years. Aysen won the first prize in the Amelia Rieman Vocal Competition in
2022, and the third prize in the Marguerite Ough Vocal Competition in 2021. She performed
the leading roles in the University of Arizona Opera Theater productions, and as a soloist with
the Civic Orchestra of Tucson.

She received her master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Mannes School of Music, The
New School, and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Ankara University State Conservatory
with the highest distinction.
She is the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award at Fred Fox School of Music
for 2023, Rollin Pease Music Scholarship, and Fine Arts Graduate College Fellowship. She
served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at University of Arizona. In this role, she taught Voice
lessons, Diction for Singers, and Stage Training for Opera Singers Classes to undergraduate
students, and she still continues teaching at University of Arizona as a guest instructor
occasionally.
Aysen is currently a doctoral student in Vocal Performance with a minor in Choral conducting
at Fred Fox School of Music, University of Arizona. Besides her academic studies, she is
currently a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Apart from music, she is also interested in keeping up with art events, participating in outdoor
sports, and traveling.
